Your credit score is determined by being broken down into five different components. These five components in order of importance, are payment history, amounts owed, length of credit history, new credit, and types of credit used. Payment history makes up 35% of your credit score while amounts owed is 30%, lengths of credit history is 15%, new credit is 10%, and credit used is 10%. If you are proficient in all of these, you will have a high credit score.
